Boycott SodaStream
SodaStream, a home water-carbonation device,  is  made in Israeli illegal settlements in Palestine’s West Bank. Israel’s settlements on occupied Palestinian land are a violation of International Law, the Geneva Conventions.   Buying Soda Stream, supports the Israeli government’s: illegal settlements that steal Palestinian land and natural resources while furthering Israel’s economic and brutal military occupation and ethnic cleansing of indigenous Palestinians.
SodaStream markets itself as an environmentally friendly product to “Turn Water Into Fresh Sparkling Water And Soda”… but there is nothing friendly about the theft and destruction of Palestinian life, land and water resources!  (See:

Israel Divestment Initiative Campaign

Signature gathering has started to put a proposition on the California ballot  that would:  require the state public retirement funds (PERS and STRS) to divest from companies that provide products or services that contribute to the construction or maintenance of Israeli settlements and/or the Separation Wall in the Palestinian Territories or provide military supplies, equipment and services to the State of Israel.  At least 434,000 registered California voters must sign a petition to qualify the measure for the statewide ballot.

If a majority of voters support the measure, it becomes law and the public retirement systems in California will have to divest from companies that provide military equipment and services to the Israeli military and police.  Californians can take action to end Israel’s occupation and help begin a state-by-state divestiture movement that parallels the anti-Apartheid movement that helped end white rule in South Africa.

To help gather signatures or for more information go

A campaign initiated by Jewish Voice to Peace to ask TIAA CREF, one of the largest financial services in the United States to divest from any company that contributes to violations of human rights or international law by:

▪ Directly profiting from, or contributing to, the Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

▪Providing products or services that contribute to the construction and maintenance of Israeli settlements and/or the Separation Wall, both of which are illegal under international law.

▪ Providing products or services that contribute to or enable violent acts that target civilians.

Examples of companies that JVP is asking TIAA-CREF to divest from, include Northrup Grumman, Motorola, Caterpillar, Veolia, and Elbit.
