Wadi Foquin Needs Your Help!

The Friends of Wadi Foquin have succeeded in scheduling a Capitol Hill Briefing in Washington D.C. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Your help is needed  to ensure that members of Congress, the Senate, and their staff attend this critical briefing! The briefing is sponsored by Congresswoman Barbara Lee, along with organizational co-sponsors: United Methodist Church (General Board of Church and Society), Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP); Arab American Institute (AAI), and Palestinian Christian Alliance for Peace (PCAP).

Representatives from the Palestinian village of Wadi Foquin and the neighboring Israeli town of Tsur Hadassa will provide joint testimony on the human rights conditions in the village. Their testimony will speak to the urgency for justice and why their current conditions are unsustainable. This Bethlehem district village, like too many others in the West Bank, is under threat of extinction. It is important that their voices be heard by U.S. policy makers. Please contact your Senator(s) and Representative today and urge them to attend this critical briefing!
